Nightmares are made of this

I am in a second-hand bookstore, crouching to browse through books in the lower shelf, when suddenly:

Enter men in uniform. The leader shouted, "Blah blah blah blah order of Shaw,* we are now under Martial Law."

All people in the bookstore, including me, raised both hands in an act of surrender. Still raising my hands and remaining in a crouched position, I placed myself against a bookshelf, not wanting to see what will happen next.

I woke up, feeling the fear I know I'd only feel when faced with death (mine or someone else's).

Neal Cruz said people are no longer afraid of martial law, but all these news about She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named declaring our country is in a 'state of emergency' somehow sank into the deep recesses of my brain, inducing itself in my dream-nightmare last night. I don't want to involve myself too much with local politics, because for me it's just fodder for people's entertainment. But witnessing SWMNBN's political maneuvers nowadays made me realize that she can and will do anything to stay in power. Damn those (us) who gets on her way. And that scares me.

The only good thing about my dream was, I'm going to die in a bookstore. Heaven.

*yes, the boulevard. and yes, that line's all I can recall from my dream. Weird.
